We reviewed the Acer T272HLbmidz and the Dell S2340T. These are the first two Windows 8-certified touch monitors for desktop PCs. Their surface isn’t quite as smooth as what we’re used to on high-end tablets and smartphones. While each one is a good screen on its own merits, the asking price in excess of £500 is just too much. Early adopters will enjoy being able to use the Windows 8 touch interface on their desktop PCs, but the rest of us can better wait a bit longer for prices to drop to more reasonable levels.
