We've been independently publishing The Tech Report for nearly 15 years, and today, we've come to a crossroads. You see, TR has been supported primarily by advertising sales since its beginning, but that business has been difficult for a while, for a number of reasons. Yet reader enthusiasm for the site remains incredibly strong.
Our challenge has been finding a way to enable the community to support us.
We didn't think any of the existing models were right for TR and its community, so we did what we've done in the past in tough situations: we innovated. What we've come up with is somewhat unique, and we think it's the best attempt of its type so far. Folks can pay what they want to support the site and get some nifty extras.
