Alienware M17X10 gaming notebook

This portable PC may not be all that portable - if you have a look at
the charts, you’ll see that the monster we’re reviewing this time around
weighs in at over five kilograms! This makes it clear from the ground up
that we’re talking about a desktop replacement notebook, aimed at
gamers. The desktop replacement category is intended for users that
require portability from their PCs, whether it’s work at several places,
data availability or simply gaming around, but don’t care much about the
large size and weight that are a consequence of a strong system build or
specific needs. For example, a notebook we’ve recently reviewed, ASUS’
NX90JQ with an 18” display, is about as portable as the old Sony TVs
with Trinitron cathode tubes, but they still belong to the notebook
category. Dell’s managed to make its Alienware brand synonymous with the
best money can buy in the gaming department in recent years, and
garnered quite a following among hardcore gamers that way. Well, after
years of staring at their models at various fairs, we’ve finally had the
chance to test one out for ourselves. The model that we’ve received is a
17” model, bearing the name M17X10…
