Portable MP3 players are soon to be getting the respectable tag of Memory Stick Walkman. Released in Japan earlier this month, Sony's Walkman took on a new form useing Memory Sticks to store data (mind you copying is twarted by its proprietary Magic Gate and Open MG technology). The same new toy is scheduled to hit the US mid to late Janurary.
However don't expect to see Britney Spears latest album next to a pack of Wrigley's Gum, as Sony is expecting "the duplication via a PC of a digital music title will be the major use of the walkman."
Note to self; buy into Flash technology stocks....
