Keeping with the times, NASA has upgraded the Hubble Telescope's central computer, to a 486. Describing the procedure, "...removal of the old computer and installation of a new, improved computer with more power..." makes one wonder what they paid for that 486 (clock speed unknown). The total price for all the replacement parts was reported by CNN to be $70 million.
