Greenwich Electronic Time (Get) launches January 1, Y2K, using the line of longitude that GMT is based on for measurement. Backed by Engish PM, Tony Blair, and several US companies the new time is set to compete with Swatches beat timer, although details on GET time's workings have not been released.
