Seagate Backup Plus Slim External USB 3.0 2TB Hard Drive Review
USB-IDE HDD Kit Review - USB-IDE HDD Kit Review
Mon, November 05 2001 | 1:10AM | PermaLink Feedback?
"First problem I see in the stats is the transfer rate, 900KB/sec is pretty slow for a hard drive. For example all new IDE hard drives are ATA-100 which is 100MB/sec, which is over 100 times faster then you can use your hard drive at with this kit. This is more of a limitation of the USB 1.1 standard then it is this kit. When USB 2.0 becomes more common there will probably be another revision of this product that can take advantage of USB 2.0. USB 2.0 can handle speeds up to 480Mbps instead of 12Mbps "
