The guys at I am Not a Geek check out the Samsung 52x CD-ROM. It's a good drive,
nothing much to talk about though. Take a peek at what they thought of the thing.
One of the most common 52x CD-ROM's is the Creative 52x. Just about every
one I know has one of these CD-ROM's I personally have three of them. They seem
to be popular because at least when I got them they were available everywhere
and very cheap. However they don't seem to perform all that well, and I have
had people tell me they are only seem to perform about as well as their 12x
CD-ROM
