"I've done mods to CD-ROM drives before, but DVD-ROM is a different story. It's not a hard mod, but you have to be careful with this sensitive hardware. Now, this is not a "Brand name" unit; I bought it rather cheap. It's the Delta 12x, and has not given me any problems to date."
