Today we will examine some high-end Multi-Function Products (MFP’s). These two units are almost an identical pair of MFP’s with only one major physical difference and a few very subtle technical and performance differences. Samsung, we think, has gone as far as possible with these MFP’s; they have incorporated anything and everything a home or SOHO user could possibly need. You're probably thinking "well what have they got that sets them apart from any other MFP that can be purchased at a local retailer". Well, I’ll tell you. The first major difference between the Samsung MFP’s and the other printer brands is that these are laser printers, they include a 33.6kbps baud fax modem (comparable to the standard of 28.8kbps) in them to send faxes at lightning speed. They both can double as photocopiers and color scanners (when used with a PC) and the last major difference is that they can utilize the speed of USB instead of the IEEE 1284 (parallel) standard. Now, lets compare the machines against each other.
