In South Korea, DRAM leader Samsung Electronics has decided to increase DDR production ratios to 65% by year-end, up from 32% in the first quarter and 58% at the end of the second quarter, reported the Seoul-based The Electronic Times. Hynix Semiconductor also plans to boost DDR production ratios from 35% at the end of the second quarter to 70% by year-end, hoping to throw off Nanya Technologies, which has been close behind in pursuit, the report said.
