“More and more people are using their computers as a home theatre. Walk into almost any college dorm room and you are more likely to hear mp3's being played off a set of computer speakers than you are to hear a CD being played off of a true stereo. And there is no reason not to either. Why pay for a stereo when your computer can do the same job, and takes up less space (A good set of computer speakers takes up much less space than a full stereo). There is one major advantage to a true stereo setup: A remote control. While a keyboard & mouse may be convenient enough when you're sitting at your computer, they don't do you much good from across the room.”
