At first I thought the satellite speakers used by the MMS 306 were ribbon speakers. However once I saw the NXT logo next to the Philips logo I knew they were NXT transducers. NXT became famous by making a very small speaker that sound like a very big speaker. You don't hear much about them at the consumer level because they mostly sell their transducers to manufacturers who in turn use them in their line products, the MMS 306 being one of them.
