Used PC Builder - Used PC Builder
Wed, October 23 2002 | 10:38AM | PermaLink Feedback?
The guys at LAN Addict have an interesting article about the Used PC Builder... LOL, it's pretty funny. =)

At some point we began playing with computers. Perhaps our first was a Commordore 64 or a Tandy. Some of us started 8088s or "fast" 286s with one megabyte of RAM. Four megabytes was unheard of. If you are not quite that old, perhaps you had a 386 or a 486. Maybe you even started with a Pentium one. Hardware improved so fast. There was always someone with a fast PC in your group. In fact, there probably still is. Somewhere along the line either you were or knew someone who would do anything for used parts. He was like a junky. Anytime he overheard someone was upgrading, parts were going to be available. They quickly devised a strategy to get them, and get them cheap!
