Chipset designers VIA Technologies and Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) are reporting tight supply due to urgent, short-term demand that started emerging in September. Boosted by increasing shipments, both companies predict that their sales will continue to grow this month. That may not be the case, however, for their November business.
