We’ve reviewed quite a few CRT monitors and LCD displays in our Labs, but this is the first Aperture Grill CRT that we’ve tested. Previous monitors were of the Invar Shadow Mask variety and were branded by Hitachi. This one is the Samsung SyncMaster 900NF, which Samsung consider to be part of their ‘pro’ line. The two letters in the model stand for ‘Natural Flat’, and 900 represents the size of the tube – 19 inches of glory. Now, what’s so special about this creature?
