The SW-232 requires virtually no setup. It took about seven minutes to complete the installation process. If the users don’t feel comfortable putting their hands in the computer, they can either pay to get it installed at the location of purchase or call a friend who knows the inside of a computer. With Windows XP it is exceptionally easy; pure plug-n-play. The software package that the SW-232 comes with is functional to a limited degree. It includes Roxio Easy CD creator 5 and Direct CD for packet burning. Roxio is very easy to use, just drag and drop files onto the CD and hit record, select the appropriate options and your done 2 minutes later! The downside to Roxio is that they sent the lite version of their product. This limits the types of CDs the user can make. In addition, this is very annoying because someone is paying good money to get a fully working product and they don’t.
