Benq, formerly known as Acer Communications and Multimedia, produces quality products at decent prices. Today, I will be reviewing the Benq 24x10x40 CDRW drive. It is priced competitively against more established brands such as Mitsubishi, LG and ASUS. The drive is well priced although aesthetically boring. The front panel is beige, with a play/skip button, an open/close button, a “writing” LED, a “disc in” LED and the standard 3.5mm audio jack and volume control. The drive comes with the standard IDE connector and digital / analog audio connectors at the rear.
