One of the first things I noticed when I took the Samsung 760V TFT LCD out of the box was the quality and solid design. This LCD was built for those of us who aren’t very gentle with our possessions, and I think this LCD will be able to stand the test of time against our daily use. Some LCDs seem very flimsy, light and feel as though you could tip it over at any time. Not this LCD, it’s got a wide base as a stand that won’t tip very easily, allowing you to tilt the screen vertically without too much force required. I have seen some LCDs that do not tilt very easily, but worst yet, the whole unit tilts with the screen, making it very difficult to tilt the screen without having one hand on the base and one on the screen. Though, try not to use too much force trying to rotate the screen because it won’t. I find that the rotate feature found in some LCDs to be “a nice to have”, but not really a needed feature. I’m sure some people out there will find it immensely useful, but for the average user, this will rarely be used, and probably forgotten after a while. Even though, this TFT monitor is very solid and sturdy, the size of the unit isn’t too big, but then again, it’s not like its sister, the Samsung 171P which is very sleek and elegant though the price tag is much higher. One extra that I would have liked would have been the ability to adjust the height of the screen. I find this useful for those people who are tall and don’t like to hunch their backs all day in front of the screen or placing old telephone books underneath. Thus, destroying all the style and design of these modern looking LCDs.
