"The weather effects in Morrowind are uncannily realistic. Water does reflect the sun and is actually see-through, distorting the image beneath it. Rain makes ripples across water and conditions range from sunny to rainstorms to sandstorms. A nice touch was to have localised weather effects so it could be raining in Seyda Neem, foggy in Peligrad and there could be a raging sandstorm is Ald'ruhn all at the same time."
