Intel is currently taking soundings from Taiwanese mobo makers and if the feedback is good, it will launch the 845GLL in May, sources tell Digitimes. The 845GLL (the extra L stands for "Light", apparently) will go head-to-head against SiS' integrated P4 chipset, the 650 series. Intel will use a cheaper south bridge supporting USB 1.1, in contrast withj the 845G and the 845GL, which use more expensive USB 2.0-based ICH4 south bridge chips.
