Tue, April 23 2002 | 3:22PM | PermaLink Feedback?
In its latest climb up the processor-speed slope, Intel pumps another 200MHz into its Pentium 4 chip. Dell and HP are among the first to join the ascent, putting the new 2.4GHz CPU into configurations of their high-end desktops: the Dell Dimension 8200 and the HP Pavilion 950. The increase to 2.4GHz coincides with our transition to the next version of our PC benchmarks, BAPCo SysMark2002.
