Seagate Backup Plus Slim External USB 3.0 2TB Hard Drive Review

Plextor PlexWriter 8/8/24U - Plextor PlexWriter 8/8/24U
Fri, April 05 2002 | 5:24AM | PermaLink Feedback?
Up until now, external CD-RW drives based on the USB standard have been plagued by sluggish performance, poor stability, and in some cases a hefty price tag. USB 1.1 was a dead end for external CD burners in many cases, and the universal serial bus didn't provide the amount of bandwidth needed for CD burning. Sure there was SCSI, but SCSI has always cost prohibitive for all but the people who wanted the best performance possible at the time, and were usually members of the "more money than brains" club (it's a fun club to be in, you should try it, lol J ). Don't even get me going on FireWire (aka IEEE 1394, aka iLink, aka every other name you could think of). That was up until now.
