TDK CyClone Internal CD-RW drive - TDK CyClone Internal CD-RW drive
Fri, March 29 2002 | 3:07PM | PermaLink Feedback?
Fast and furious - that's the kind of impression you'll get when you first notice the model name on TDK's newest 32x CD-RW drive. Although TDK is not well-known for its CD-RW products, TDK has been around for almost 70 years. Primarily involved in manufacturing recording medias, TDK has made a name for itself in producing high-quality products. The new CyClone is used as an internal drive and is based on the E-IDE/ATAPI interface. Rated at a write speed of 32x, it's the second fastest drive there is right now (Plextor still holds the record for the fastest 40x drive). The CyClone is also able to re-write at 10x and read normal CD-ROMs at a maximum speed of 40x.
