"There are two types of soldering, mechanical and electrical. Both involve joining two types of metal together with an alloy medium. Mechanical soldering usually involves higher wattage irons or torches and acid based flux. Electrical soldering stays with smaller irons and one uses rosin core solder instead of the acid flux. Just think of what that acid could do to your computer . not a pretty thought."
