Our pals at Mikhailtech have the Plextor 24x10x40 CD-RW up on the stove today.
How dose it perform?
Duh it's a Plextor! =)
The most obvious difference between the PX-W2410A and other Plextor drives
is the large "24/10/40A" logo. The tray mechanism is also present
and below it you can see the High Speed CD-RW logo that certifies the drive
will work with high speed CDRW disks. On the left you can see the "BPRec"
logo signifying that the drive supports Sanyo's BURN-Proof technology. Like
Plextor's other CDRW drives, the PX-W2410A has only one LED with double function.
When the led is green it means there is a disk present and when the led turns
orange means that the drive is either reading or writing the disk. The tray
is very quiet, like it is sliding on ice or jelly, and the drive is very quiet
while operating.
