Our bud's at Hardware Pub check out the Plextor 40x CD-RW. DAMN LUCKY BASTARDS,
I HATE YOU GUYS! =(
Haha, j/k anyway they have a good review check it out.
Plextor has been in all practicality the leader in optical drives and storage
harkening back to the days of yore, i.e. when 4x was an intense luxury. Skipping
by the 32x line of CD-RW drives, Plextor has decided to blast right through
all the way to 40x. However, incredibly fast writing and rewriting is not the
only thing that computer users are concerned with. What good is a 40x burner
if the user has to make sure not to move the mouse under the threat of a coaster?
Moreover, writable media comes in many different forms and sometimes is not
given a rated speed. The Plextor PC-W4012TA combines both pure speed and features
to impress anyone who might look at its specifications. Today Hardware Pub will
evaluate it to see if said drive stands up to all of the hype that it has been
receiving
