With the recent review of Thermaltakes Crystal ORB still rampant in my mind, I decided to dedicate a whole review to the long-time standing number one chipset cooler, the Blue ORB, along with its younger brother, the Orange ORB. Chipset heatsinks are most commonly applied to motherboard chipsets (i.e. the Northbridge), as well as the GPU or VGA chipset located at the core of all video cards. Cooling a chipset has its advantages, but can also have its disadvantages, such as the need for an external power source. Data corruption can be directly linked to hot chipsets, but with proper cooling these types of problems can be avoided which is definitely a reason to invest in a chipset cooling solution such as the Blue or Orange ORB.
