"Creative's "Soundblaster" line has, to many people, achieved Ultimate
Name Brand status. In much the same way people call any bandage a
"Band-Aid" and a Facial Tissue a "Kleenex", many of the computer
un-savvy population default to calling any sound-generating device in
their PC a "Soundblaster". Is this reputation deserved, or simply a
matter of "Who's the first big company" (I still having people asking
for "Voodoo cards" where I work...)? Let's try Creative's new
Soundblaster Audigy 2 and find out."
