FlextraSpeed, like many other solutions, adjusts writing speeds based on the drives internal media database for optimal writing quality. While the CRW-5224A is a bit fussy in regards to media, FlextraSpeed allows for at least a quality burn, even if it slows down the drive to handle various media limitations."
