The Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 is no doubt a very versatile piece of equipment miniaturized in a PDA form
factor. The operating system which is based on Linux is quite powerful - in fact, a little too powerful for
the average consumer. For those who couldn't care about what they can do with Linux, they would be
contented with all the basic functions provided in the PDA. The alternate software bundled with the Zaurus
SL-5500 were adequate replacements of popular applications found in both PocketPC and Palm operating
systems.
