Overclockers New Zealand bust out a review
on the EverCool NB 18-715 Socket A Cooler.
The NB18-715 is an extruded aluminium/copper HSF. Evercool uses welding
to attach the copper plate to the bottom of the aluminium HSF. Copper is essential
for the high-end XP processors as they have smaller contact areas due to the
improved manufacturing process. In fact, AMD recommends copper base HSF for
XP-2400+ CPUs.
