Straight from COMDEX about the GeForceFX - Straight from COMDEX about the GeForceFX
Mon, November 18 2002 | 1:43PM | PermaLink Feedback?
Max is at Comdex and here's the info he was able to dig up about the GeForceFX...

GeForceFX core speed will run at 500 MHz and memory will be at 1 GHz while using DDR 2 Memory.

The core will have 8 pixel shaders...

GeForceFX should have 3x the performance of a Ti4600 with AA and AF enabled.

There will be 125 million Transistors in the core (P4 Northwood's only have 55 million)

Their demo001 Q3 score was 173 fps however the resolution was at an amazing 2048x1530!

The GeForceFX is vey scalable and they suggest it can go up as high as 1200 MHz

The DDR2 memory will have a ns rating of 2.2 to 1.8ns.

GeForceFX will be the first TSMC 0.13 part.

Since the NV30 is the first videocard that's using 3dfx technology, nVIDIA decided to name it GeForceFX. That's a pretty classy thing to do in my opinion! =)
