There's a small icon in the system tray (that can be hidden) which launches the Mouse Properties box. The Pointers, Pointer Options, Wheel, and Hardware tabs are all standard Windows but the other two are quite unique. The Buttons tab allows you to assign functions to all five buttons as well as selecting your pointing device from a populated list. You can also enable program-specific button settings. Which makes this great mouse even better. Here you can add as many programs to the list as you like and specify functions for the buttons relative to the program. Or you can keep the general settings and provide button assignments for programs you don't want affected by your default settings. I don't think I need to explain how valuable this feature is.
