Most of us want a cooler rig for our daily use, so the
usual initial action is adding more and faster fans. While
more fans = more cooling, more fans also equals to more
noise. This raises one question most of us have faced at
one or more points in time. How to reduce noise without
compromising on lower temperatures ? One approach is to
use a rheobus or some variable speed adjustable fans,
which doesn't really fulfill my requirements of good
cooling at low noise. Another option is to use acoustic
absorption materials within the case.
One such product is the Akasa PAX.mate acoustic absoption
mats which is designed to dampen fan noise and case
vibration when the mats are fitted to the PC case.
