In a closed-door, two-hour meeting this afternoon, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) granted preliminary approval to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) application to set up an 8-inch fab in the Shanghai Songjiang Industrial Park.
