2003 Comdex - 2003 Comdex
Wed, November 26 2003 | 10:24AM | PermaLink Feedback?
The 2003 Comdex took up just 150,000 square feet and just half a hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. It took me all of one hour to see all the displays. Attendance was estimated at just 50,000. Gone were the hour long taxi line ups or the running out of food in the media room because very little media showed up. Comdex 2003 marked the second year of The Tech Zone / Cooltronics Comdex Party. Our party went off really nice, and everyone had a great time. However, our party was one of the few parties to return. The CDW party was gone; the Pocket PC party was gone; and so was the PC Mall party. Will they ever come back? Or will they move to the CES? Nobody knows. One thing for sure: Comdex is no longer the king of parties.
