Seagate Backup Plus Slim External USB 3.0 2TB Hard Drive Review
TYAN Transport GX28 B2880T1S - TYAN Transport GX28 B2880T1S
Mon, November 10 2003 | 12:45AM | PermaLink Feedback?
Overall, we find the TYAN Transport GX28 a product worthy of the IT Manager's consideration as it has excellent airflow characteristics and built-in features. In addition, it's currently one of the very few 1U rackmount systems that supports the latest AMD Opteron 246 processors. 2-way rackmount systems of such a form factor are hard to come by, and even more precious when it can replace your current servers running on 32-bit x86 applications while having the built-in flexibility to upgrade to 64-bit when needed. The only drawback is the fan noise, which can be a little too loud when used in an office environment. But if you can look past the noise, then we wholeheartedly recommend the TYAN Transport GX28 rackmount barebone system.
