Seagate Backup Plus Slim External USB 3.0 2TB Hard Drive Review

Hardware Stuff From Around the Web - Hardware Stuff From Around the Web
Mon, October 20 2003 | 11:45AM | PermaLink Feedback?
Well it's a Monday and I hope you had a good wknd, I know I did. It seems as if System Cooling was impresssed with the Swiftech MCP600 Pump although I can't see how it can outperform my Eheim 1250 as Swiftech says. GruntvillE checks out the new pretty Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU but I'd still get a PC Power & Cooling if I were you. =)

ModSynergy has a neat looking aluminum case for everyone to read about. A bit tacky but better then some of the other generic stuff out there. If your game is networking you're certainly going to be impressed with the D-Link wireless stuff out there and NextGen Electronics has the scoop on that.

Lastly the boys at Short-Media talk about a potential problem with the new Catalyst 3.8 driver killing videocards and monitors!

While we're not quite sure what part of the Catalyst 3.8 drivers are causing this, some part of the driver (whether it's the new VPU Recovery feature, HyperZ Enhancements or the ATI Overclocking software) is causing the core on BBA and OEM Radeon cards that are identified as "RADEON 9800 XT", "RADEON 9800 PRO" and "RADEON 9800" in Windows to have their GPU's overheat by as much as 15*C over normal during 3D graphics sessions. This has caused a number of fans on the Radeon 9800 XT series to fail, allowing the heat to completely destroy the card.
