Ugh, another TT review. This time it's the boys
at Xtreme Tek who check out the TT Volcano 11+ Xaser Ed.
Analyzing all the information I have laid out, one could come to the conclusion
that what I have here is a high-feature, good-performance, fairly-noisy heatsink
offering from Thermaltake. I think that analysis is right on. The performance
offered exceeds the heatsinks I tested the Volcano 11+ against, but that comes
at the cost of sound pollution. Thermaltake has combated that problem by offering
noise reduction tools. Unlike Zalman's product, you can control the sound element
without opening the case. If one were to decrease the speed, the sound would
drop and the performance would most likely fall into the same area as the other
heatsink. The bonus is that the extra performance is at your finger tips if
you need it.
