Home users haven't yet switched on to wireless local area networks (Lan), according to researchers. According to IDC, only a very small number of early adopters are showing interest. And the researcher predicts that by the end of 2003 only 2.2 per cent of homes across western Europe will have an active home network. The report expects that over half of European home networks will be wireless by 2006, but it added that wired systems, especially Ethernet, will continue to exist in homes.
