"To be frank though, engineering has not been VIA's stumbling block for
quite some time now. Unanticipated market changes, poor execution, legal
issues, paper launches, and nonexistent product performance scaling have
been holding them back. While a bit late to the Pentium 4 800MHz party,
VIA's PT800 can hardly be considered too late to contend as they will
certainly have a open market to participate in at least through the end of
the year as it looks like Prescott CPUs are going to be far from the bargain
seller."
