The HT-DB300 home theatre system from Samsung is a sleek, silver HTiB offering. With a slim line receiver, and a myriad of features this is poised to be a nice cost effective home theatre system. For a few hundred bones, you get a receiver with built in progressive scan DVD player, 5 satellite speakers, and a 8" down facing sub-woofer. The receiver has inputs and outputs for digital 5.1 and analog two channel audio, and composite, S-Video, and Colour Stream video. For decoding standards it supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, and DTS. Playback support ran! ges from the mainstay DVD, VCD, and CD audio reading, to DVD-R/W, CD-R/W, and MP3 capabilities. It even has an AM/FM tuner with 30 channel preset memory (something that is on occasion left out by other manufacturers).
