"Enter M-Audio. Makers of various pro-audio equipment (like midi
controllers, preamps, and mixers). They're not very well known for
Joe-Shmoe consumer-level equipment... then again, they're a relatively
new company in the first place, and you can only be made famous by so
much in such a small amount of time; so M-Audio's claim-to-fame is their
professional lineup. Anyways, the new VIA chip seemed to have inspired
them to startup a new consumer line. The card they made off the Envy24
claims incredible specs... specs claiming superiority over the Audigy 2.
If M-Audio can put as much care into this little card as they do into
the pro-equipment that put them in the spotlight, we may just have a
winner... but not before I get my grubby little hands into every little
crevice of it! "
