Plextor has labeled this drive the PlexWriter Premium. In doing so, they are either very confident that the drive will perform, if not, they are setting themselves up for a fall. Upon entering this review, I admit I was excited to test out a PlexWriter. I wasn't disappointed. Although not the fastest CDRW drive on the planet, it is a solid writing drive. It is incredible when in comes to DAE, and reading scratched and dirty disks. I have never seen a drive perform Audio tests so well. Plextor has been hailed "The King" by many CDRW enthusiasts, not always for speed, but for quality of writing, and product support.
