"The 6500 is a hybrid formed from aluminum and copper. Unlike the typical aluminum heatsinks with a copper lug pressed into the base, the 6500 takes a different approach. A few copper and many aluminum fins are bolted together, and the fins folded outwards to create a fan. Zalman then mills the base to a mirror finish, producing a very attractive heatsink. "
