But it still wouldn't fit. This called for drastic measure. The PCB of the motherboard had a few mm at either side where there were no copper tracks - just empty silicon. So I got to work shaving them off, ably aided by Stanley. I eventually got it to fit very snugly by getting rid of these few millimetres, sanding away some of the wooden side of the box and bending the motherboard a little.
