Well both TSMC and VIA denided rumors that VIA is thinking about switching
to IBM as a manufacturing partner.
Both VIA Technologies and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)
have vehemently denied rumors that VIA is in talks with IBM to move some of
its higher-end orders to IBM Microelectronics – which is offering highly
attractive prices to Taiwanese IC designers.
