With VIA and Intel settling their little patent issue, it's going to put a
lot of pressure
on SiS.
Chipset designer Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) and second-tier motherboard
manufacturers that have been using Pentium 4 chipsets from VIA Technologies
may feel a direct blow from VIA’s settlement with Intel, as VIA has now
regained the opportunity to work with OEM companies and first-tier motherboard
makers.
