The Revolution 7.1 is designed to be a multipurpose card for games and DVD. The soundcard is designed to give the user a more realistic gaming experience and also the ability to record or mix their own music. The main feature of the Revolution 7.1 is naturally its ability to support high-quality 7.1 channel surround sound. However, the card also supports DTS output and Dolby Digital 5.1/EX (6.1 DVD) decoding. The SRS CircleSurround II technology is also very impressive as it delivers virtual surround sounds for stereo sources.
